More About Me

My name is Bobby Brown.

I am a Christian, Husband, Father, Pastor, Friend, Son, Brother, and a "used to be" Athlete.

Husband- My wife Dawn and I have been married since 1996. We both came to know the Lord in 1997 and have been serving Him ever since. We love spending time on the beach before hitting up a sushi joint for lunch.  

Dawn is the love of my life and my right hand in ministry. She is an amazing praying wife and helper as well as the best mother I have ever known. I have truly never meet a better Pastor's wife. She loves people so well and her heart for others is evident from the moment you meet her. 

Father- Dawn and I have 2 amazing kids.  Alexis loves to sing and dance and she uses that love to serve God in children's ministry since she was only 10. Leading VBS worship services and currently serving as a member of our adult worship team while still leading in children's ministry. She is gifted in music and graduated from the Visual and Preforming Arts Academy in Virginia Beach. She is loving and kind and has an amazing heart for the underdog. Elijah loves all things science and mechanical. He loves the Lord and serves Him in a variety of ways. Most recently, Elijah has become an amazing tech booth team member. Running ProPresenter, Lights, and/or Sound each week.  Amazing, smart, caring, and kind are only a few of the words that can describe him. 

Pastor- I have had  the pleasure of partnering with Next Level Church (one of the fastest growing churches in America) in launching their first ever location in the south. My family and I moved from Virginia Beach, VA to just out side of Tampa, FL to build a launch team. God provided some amazing people that ultimately helped us pre-launch with 415 people in attendance in January of 2018. Our actual launch was on Easter of that year and we saw over 1100 people in attendance and had 10 people make the life saving decision to follow Jesus. It was an amazing learning experience: from renovating an old house and building for kids and students to figuring out the setup and tear down procedures in a High School to allow for growth. I am excited to look back in a few years and see the life change in this area because of our obedience.   

Before that, I Served as the Co-Pastor/ Campus Pastor of a great church in Virginia Beach. I love being a part of churches that are actively reaching the lost and helping Christians grow in their faith. At Essential Church in VB, God had me in my sweet spot. I had the pleasure of building teams and systems while seeing people in our lives become some our greatest friends. Our time in VB was a challenging yet sweet time of ministry.

As for me, God has done some pretty crazy things. I would have never guessed that He would/could use me in the ways that He has. One of my favorite times in ministry was when God used me to coordinate and promote a huge concert in my home town. We called the event EffectFest and had some great Christian bands come and perform.  God had us do this 3 times and we saw hundreds of people come to faith in Christ through the event. We had artists like: Fireflight, Thousand Foot Krutch, Audio Adrenalin, Britt Nichole, Superchick, Diciple, and KJ52. I am still amazed by what God did at those events. Over 3000 people attended them in total and hundreds saw their lives changed. 

It has been a great ride so far and I am always excited to see what God has for me next.
